4Clubbers (UK) review my remix ep...

Spencer Parker’s Work Them imprint has quickly built a reputation for unreconstructed dance music that flits between house and techno, enlisting the likes of Dana Ruh, Pittsburgh Track Authority, S:VT and Radio Slave alongside original work from the Berlin-based DJ and producer. Following the label head’s EP in March, Parker enlists Patrick Graser and Aaron Siegel in their Answer Code Request and FIT guises to sprinkle their own dust over the thumping techno of Spacial and Faster Forward’s classic piano house leanings.

Spacial’s brooding, metallic techno is reworked by Answer Code Request to great effect in his Remix, toning down most aspects of Parker’s original with a modern techno cut full of warmth and energy. Filling the EQs with layered, effected synths and plump, muddled percs, it eases off the menace of the original, giving it a purposeful, relentless character. His ‘Loop Mix’ strips away the drums, giving the interweaved elements room to breathe.
The FIT Remix of ‘Faster Forward’ subverts the original’s house aethsetic into a shuffling, off-kilter mix that focuses on the piano and pads’ melodies and envelops them in broken percussive loops, adding a dream-like glow to its lofty intentions.

The Jaguar knows what's up...

Data Transmission review the remixes of my latest EP...

7/10

The beginning of 2014 saw the end of Spencer Parker's It's Not Over project but avid listeners of his boundless house and heavy duty techno satisfied their appetite for new material when Parker released his EP The Moment Not The Memory in March (with support from the likes of Dave Clarke and Danny Krivit).  Well now it's had the remix treatment from two of the scenes most in demand producers...
First of the three tracks is Answer Code Request's remix of Spacial. An uncompromising techno number from the outset; broad and heavy bass pumps life into this track at an unrelenting frequency. However, it proves its melodic abilities as it invites arpeggiated fuzzy synths, accompanied by tight yet dampened notes. It remains consistent and somewhat uneventful, but delivers in its purpose of a club-ready track that's fit to make an audience burst. DJs wanting to give this mesmeric track a lick of their own paint can make use of the beatless loop.
FIT's remix of Faster Forward takes a turn from the previous track and retreats to a melancholic cove. Slightly offbeat pangs have backup from alluring, drawn out house-synths and dashes of high-hat that are, though subtle, carry the track through. Modest yet timeless piano keys dodge in and out as a grooving bassline swims underneath. This nine-minute track reaches full circle as it closes with its introductory notes; a sound that belongs in a closing set.

Ransom Note (UK) review my new ep...

"Spencer Parker has been slowly building something very special with Work Them Records over the last few years and their releases have graced this column more than once. The boss continues the good work with a two tracker that shows two very different sides to his output on each side of the wax."

“Spatial” is raw, stripped down and aggressive. We just have a 909 and a demented, bee like droning that keeps going relentlessly. In contrast, on the flip we have “Faster Forward” which again is all centered around the 909 percussion but this time the track has a warm heart. We have bright open pads and pianos that teeter between optimism and melancholy". (Joe Europe)

Out 10th March on wax.

It's Not Over "It's Now Over" is... OVER !

my It's Not Over label comes to an end with the 7th and final release...

ITSNOTOVER007 is a double cd entitled "It's Now Over" and features the lead tracks from the 12's plus edits, remixes and alternate versions.
it also includes 3 brand new unreleased tracks...

Phonica Records (London) had this to say about it...

"Spencer Parker's It's Not Over project, a series of vinyl releases leaked out over an 18 month period, comes to an end with 'It's Now Over' in January 2014 - a compilation of some of the project's highlights along with a selection of unreleased dubs/edits/versions.
Born out of the desire to play with a name, imagery and deliver something outside of the norm of standard record label releases, the British-born Berliner and Panorama Bar regular kicked of the anonymous 'It's Not Over' In 2011 with the ultimately highly sought after 'Late At Night'.

Since then, the series has grown into a must- check set of 6 12"s that have seen support from the likes of Mike Huckaby, Ryan Elliott, Radio Slave, Patrice Scott and October. Here, on It's Now Over, we're treated to a 9 track selection of the 6 12"s (so completists will need to seek out the vinyl to satisfy themselves) Parker has released, from the original driving melodies of 'Late At Night' via the unmistakable vocal sampling banger of 'Brotherhood' to the more abrasive sounds of 'The Institute' and 'Collective Consciousness'.
On disc two of the CD set we get Parker's own set of Its Not Over weaponry - new cuts like 'Instant Heart Attack' and '3000E' as well as a 'Drone Pass' of 'Collective Consciousness', a 'Brotherhood' Instrumental and a beatless version of the beautiful 'East Pointe' all provide extra weight on the already heavy project. While intended as a compilation and a closer to a vinyl project, 'It's Now Over' ends up being a lot more and not just because of its additional exclusive content.

It's a release which shows us Spencer Parker with the gloves off, making tracks clearly close to his heart and even closer to himself as a DJ and the result is a fantastic second LP from the DJ/Producer."
